LACK OF HIGH SPEED INTERNET SERVICE
As an apparent result of work-from-home and remote learning during the recent pandemic, it has come to our attention that a number of Crete Township residents do not have access to high-speed internet such as those provided in the area by Comcast and AT&T.
Although Crete Township has no jurisdiction in this area, the Township Supervisor has been in contact with the main internet service providers as an accommodation. The providers have requested addresses where the internet service is unavailable.
Though it is uncertain what remedies, if any, can be made available by the providers, if you are a Crete Township resident who is experiencing a lack of high-speed internet service, please provide a brief email including your name and address to administrator@cretetownship.com and we will forward to the service providers for consideration.
CRETE TOWNSHIP PUBLIC MEETINGS
The regular monthly meeting of the Crete Township Board is conducted live at the Town Hall located at 1367 Wood Street in Crete, on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm.
During the COVID pandemic, the regular monthly meeting and other public Township meetings may be accessed via Zoom video conferencing. If you are interested in obtaining login information for any public Township meetings on Zoom, please contact the Township Office at 708-672-8279 or email us at administrator@cretetownship.com for login credentials.”
Crete Township Trustee Meetings
The Crete Township Board of Trustees meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall, 1367 Wood Street, Crete, Illinois. The public is welcome to attend.
